The goal of the biennial Rochester Deaf Awareness Week is to share our
resilience, assets, and contributions with our neighbors, co-workers,
and policy-makers. It is the Deaf community's continuing desire to
foster awareness with the community-at-large that we are truly a
unique linguistic-cultural group, which further enhances the great
diversity of Rochester, NY.

We're thrilled to have Dr. Thomas Holcomb, the founder of Deaf Awareness Week in Rochester, NY, as our guest of honor and keynote speaker at the Black Tie Gala.
